PITT-BRADFORD CAMPUS POLICE ASKING PUBLIC TO HELP WIN GRANT FOR ENHANCED SECURITY

BRADFORD, Pa. – Members of the community can help the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford receive up to $100,000 to enhance its safety measures by voting for Pitt-Bradford in the Stanley Security Together for Safer Schools grant program.

According to Police Chief Dan Songer, students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members can visit stanleysaferschools.com and vote for Pitt-Bradford. If Pitt-Bradford receives the most votes in its category – schools with enrollment under 8,000 students – it would win $100,000 to purchase new locks and other enhanced safety measures from Stanley Security. If Pitt-Bradford comes in second, it would receive a $25,000 grant.

There are three ways to vote, and individuals can vote once a day. First, individuals can vote at stanleysaferschools.com. Second, they can text “pittedu” to 334455. Finally, they can send a tweet using the hashtags #STANLEYSecurity and #pittedu.

Voting ends Feb. 13, and winners will be announced March 3.

Find out more or visit the leader board at stanleysaferschools.com.

Why don't they take the money out of the millions in tuition fees that the students will paying back for the next 20 years when they make $30,000 per year with a degree that cost them $200,000?

Yeah no kidding. The price of school is ridiculous and out of control and they get grants for everything. What do they do with that money?!?!?! One students degree could pay for this. What a bunch of dirt bag leeches.
