State Police Announce Sergeant and Corporal Promotions


Harrisburg – Fourteen members of the Pennsylvania State police have been promoted to the rank of sergeant and 25 members have been promoted to the rank of corporal, Acting Commissioner Marcus Brown announced.

• Joseph N. Altieri, of Bensalem, Bucks County, was promoted to sergeant and remains assigned to the Bureau of Integrity and Professional Standards. Sergeant Altieri enlisted in the state police in 1996 and was promoted to corporal in 2006.
• Bradley R. Christie, of Cranberry Township, Butler County, was promoted to sergeant and assigned to Troop G, Hollidaysburg. He was previously assigned to Troop D, Beaver. Sergeant Christie enlisted in the state police in 1996 and was promoted to corporal in 2006.
• Robert L. Copechal, Jr., of Washington, Washington County, was promoted to Sergeant and remains assigned to Troop B, Washington. Sergeant Copechal enlisted in the state police in 1995 and was promoted to corporal in 2006.
• Timothy E. Gilhooley, of Olyphant, Lackawanna County, was promoted to sergeant and assigned to Troop K, Philadelphia. He was previously assigned to Troop R, Gibson. Sergeant Gilhooley enlisted in the state police in 1996 and was promoted to corporal 2005.
• Brian I. Hoover, of Everett, Bedford County, was promoted to sergeant and assigned to Troop G, Hollidaysburg. He was previously assigned to the Bureau of Integrity and Professional Standards. Sergeant Hoover enlisted in the state police in 1991 and was promoted to corporal in 2006.
• David A. Krumbine, of Lebanon, Lebanon County, was promoted to sergeant and remains assigned to the Bureau of Forensic Services. Sergeant Krumbine enlisted in the state police in 1994 and was promoted to corporal in 2006.
• Robert D. Lapinski, of Mt. Carmel, Northumberland County, was promoted to sergeant and assigned to Troop K, Philadelphia. He was previously assigned to the Bureau of Gaming Enforcement. Sergeant Lapinski enlisted in the state police in 1993 and was promoted to corporal in 2005.
• Kelly E. Lentz, of Newville, Cumberland County, was promoted to sergeant and assigned to Troop H, Chambersburg. He was previously assigned to Troop T, Highspire. Sergeant Lentz enlisted in the state police in 1999 and was promoted to corporal in 2006.
• William A. Maitland, of New Castle, Lawrence County, was promoted to sergeant and remains assigned to the Bureau of Integrity and Professional Standards. Sergeant Maitland enlisted in the state police in 1999 and was promoted to corporal in 2005.
• Steven T. Paraska, of Mt. Pleasant, Westmoreland County, was promoted to sergeant and assigned to Troop B, Washington. He was previously assigned to Troop T, New Stanton. Sergeant Paraska enlisted in the state police in 1998 and was promoted to corporal in 2005.
• Michelle N. Swantner, of West Chester, Chester County, was promoted to Sergeant and assigned to Troop K, Philadelphia. She was previously assigned to Troop J, Embreeville. Sergeant Swantner enlisted in the state police in 1994 and was promoted to corporal in 2005.
• Christopher J. Terrana, of Murrysville, Westmoreland County, was promoted to sergeant and assigned to Troop D, Butler. He was previously assigned to Troop A, Kiski Valley. Sergeant Terrana enlisted in the state police in 2002 and was promoted to corporal in 2006.
• Stephen J. U’Selis III, of Quakertown, Bucks County, was promoted to sergeant and assigned to Troop K, Philadelphia. He was previously assigned to the Bureau of Emergency and Special Operations. Sergeant U’Selis enlisted in the state police in 1996 and was promoted to corporal in 2006.
• Gerald E. Williams, of Plymouth, Luzerne County, was promoted to sergeant and remains assigned to the Bureau of Integrity and Professional Standards. Sergeant Williams enlisted in the state police in 1991 and was promoted to corporal in 2005.
• Leslie E. Barr, of Warren, Warren County, was promoted to corporal and assigned to Troop F, Coudersport. She was previously assigned to Troop E, Warren. Corporal Barr enlisted in the state police in 2005.
• John C. Becker, of Wyomissing, Berks County, was promoted to corporal and assigned to Troop J, Avondale. He was previously assigned to Troop K, Skippack. Corporal Becker enlisted in the state police in 2006.
• Jennifer L. Bovee, of Russell, Warren County, was promoted to corporal and assigned to Troop B, Waynesburg. She was previously assigned to Troop E, Warren. Corporal Bovee enlisted in the state police in 2007.
• Rico V. Coletta, of Erie, Erie County, was promoted to corporal and remains assigned to the Bureau of Training and Education. Corporal Coletta enlisted in the state police in 2005.
• Brandon S. Corby, of Lansdale, Montgomery County, was promoted to corporal and assigned to Troop K, Philadelphia. He was previously assigned to the Bureau of Criminal Investigation. Corporal Corby enlisted in the state police in 2005.
• Michael J. Davis, of Huntingdon, Huntingdon County, was promoted to corporal and assigned to Troop F, Coudersport. He was previously assigned to Troop G, Huntingdon. Corporal Davis enlisted in the state police in 2006.
• Cory L. Despot, of Hollidaysburg, Blair County, was promoted to corporal and assigned to Troop B, Washington. He was previously assigned to Troop G, Huntingdon. Corporal Despot enlisted in the state police in 2006.
• R. Collin L. Dinsmore, of Reading, Berks County, was promoted to corporal and assigned to Troop K, Media. He was previously assigned to the Executive and Administrative Offices. Corporal Dinsmore enlisted in the state police in 2006.
• Travis W. Doebler, of Hughesville, Lycoming County, was promoted to corporal and assigned to Troop F, Lamar. He was previously assigned to Troop F, Montoursville. Corporal Doebler enlisted in the state police in 2005.
• Joseph G. Holland, of Scranton, Lackawanna County, was promoted to corporal and assigned to Troop K, Media. He was previously assigned to Troop R, Gibson. Corporal Holland enlisted in the state police in 2005.
• Thomas J. Horan, of Scott Township, Lackawanna County, was promoted to corporal and assigned to Troop F, Mansfield. He was previously assigned to Troop R, Dunmore. Corporal Horan enlisted in the state police in 2005.
• Thomas Hornung, of Kulpmont, Northumberland County, was promoted to corporal and assigned to Troop F, Selinsgrove. He was previously assigned to the Bureau of Patrol. Corporal Hornung enlisted in the state police in 2005.
• Robert A. Kennedy, of Dunmore, Lackawanna County, was promoted to corporal and assigned to Troop M, Dublin. He was previously assigned to Troop P, Wyoming. Corporal Kennedy enlisted in the state police in 1995.
• Rosemary A. McGuire, of King of Prussia, Montgomery County, was promoted to corporal and assigned to Troop K, Skippack. She was previously assigned to Troop K, Media. Corporal McGuire enlisted in the state police in 2005.
• Travis G. Messenger, of Lebanon, Lebanon County, was promoted to corporal and assigned to Troop K, Skippack. He was previously assigned to Troop L, Jonestown. Corporal Messenger enlisted in the state police in 2004.
• Alexander T. Mohn, of Sinking Spring, Berks County, was promoted to corporal and assigned to Troop J, Avondale. He was previously assigned to Troop L, Reading. Corporal Mohn enlisted in the state police in 2006.
• Andrew R. Peters, of Rockton, Clearfield County, was promoted to corporal and assigned to Troop F, Montoursville. He was previously assigned to Troop C, Punxsutawney. Corporal Peters enlisted in the state police in 2005.
• Mark C. Ruscavage, of Swoyersville, Luzerne County, was promoted to corporal and assigned to Troop K, Skippack. He was previously assigned to Troop N, Fern Ridge. Corporal Ruscavage enlisted in the state police in 2007.
• Dustin C. Shireman, of Elizabethtown, Lancaster County, was promoted to corporal and remains assigned to Troop J, Lancaster. Corporal Shireman enlisted in the state police in 2007.
• Stephen M. Spotts, of Fogelsville, Lehigh County, was promoted to corporal and assigned to Troop K, Skippack. He was previously assigned to Troop L, Reading. Corporal Spotts enlisted in the state police in 2005.
• Andrea M. Swatton, of Eagleville, Montgomery County, was promoted to corporal and assigned to Troop K, Media. She was previously assigned to Troop K, Skippack. Corporal Swatton enlisted in the state police in 2006.
• Justin M. Tkacik, of Chambersburg, Franklin County, was promoted to corporal and assigned to Troop A, Somerset. He was previously assigned to Troop H, Chambersburg. Corporal Tkacik enlisted in the state police in 2005.
• Joseph R. Zandarski, of Cabot, Butler County, was promoted to corporal and assigned to Troop A, Somerset. He was previously assigned to Troop D, Butler. Corporal Zandarski enlisted in the state police in 2005.
• Scott A. Zigo, of Sarver, Butler County, was promoted to corporal and assigned to Troop A, Somerset. He was previously assigned to Troop D, Kittanning. Corporal Zigo enlisted in the state police in 2005.
