Thomas D. Bunker, 90, of 3660 Horizon Drive, Lancaster, formerly of Bradford, PA

Thomas D. Bunker, 90, of 3660 Horizon Drive, Lancaster, formerly of Bradford, PA passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at his residence.

Born May 16, 1934, in Olean he was a son of the late Eugene Bunker and Delores (Burger) Bunker-Swanson.

On December 3, 1959 in the Asbury United Methodist Church in Bradford, he married Theresa V. (Lingaton) Bunker, who passed away October 14, 2006.

Mr. Bunker earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Tech. in Blacksburg, VA. He started his working career as a petroleum engineer for John DePetro where he worked for two years. He was then a lab technician at Kendall Refining Company for four years, and was promoted to petroleum engineer and worked another 10 years for Kendall. He then worked in residential construction in Warren for 15 years and later for Amerimax as a computer engineer in Lancaster for 8 years.

He was a former member of Asbury United Methodist Church Bradford.

Surviving are his four children, a daughter, Michele Bunker, of Warren, three sons Mark Bunker, and Kevin Bunker, both of Lancaster, and David Bunker, of Centerville, OH; two brothers, Dennis Swanson, of Sebring, FL, NY, and Charles Swanson of Tuscon, AZ; 4 grandchildren Ryan, Ethan, Colin, and Nathan Bunker.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Bunker Burrell Welge.

Family will be receiving friends Saturday, January, 10, 2015, from 11:00 to 1:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 33 South Ave., where funeral and committal services will be held at 1:00pm with Rev. Matt Blake, pastor of the Bradford Area Parish, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.
