Can you believe it, it's time again for Punxsutawney Phil to look for his shadow, something tells me by the weather forecasts he's not going to find it.

At the Elementary school the kids will be warming up this week for the JUMP ROPE FOR HEART with the American Heart Association. This event will be over several days this week held during gym classes. 

"That's OV Entertainment VI" rehearsals are in full swing with the performances on March 19 & 20.

It's a busy week at the Middle/High School, Show Choir Valentine's Dinner and Matinee Dinner tickets are on sale at the school, Sprouts and from show choir members. 

On Thursday and Friday the 28 & 29 with JO Wrestling in the Elementary gym 6pm. 

Saturday mornings boys and girls 4,5,6th grade intramurals will be happening beginning at 12 noon in the MSHS gym.

The Girls Basketball teams will host Galeton at 6 on Monday the 2nd of Feb. And there will be a work session School Board meeting at 7:00. Tuesday at 4:00 the Senior Class will host a Soups On Event in the high school Cafeteria. Along with a Boys JV & Varsity Basketball 6:00 vs Otto- Eldred. Wednesday night at 6:00 pm, BOYS Junior High and Varsity Wrestling vs Port Allegany Junior/Senior. 

The library is raffling a KA-BAR Tanto knife w/ sheath. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. The drawing will take place February 9th at the Soup & Sandwich dinner at the school. Monday night @6 the "Stitch Together Knit & Crochet" group meets.

The Murder Mystery Dinner "Celebrity Celebrations" was a big hit and who would have thought Jimmy Hendrix was capable of murder. The Shinglehouse Community Choir is open to new members if you've ever wanted to sing, join them as they begin practice on: "Rock n Roll Thru the Ages" on the 1st and 4th Tuesday's of the month at the Senior Center at 6:00.

Miz Monica...Apparently you do not proofread anything you submit. Check the spelling of Punxutawney, and watch those run on sentences!

I enjoy these newsy items; I just hope she's wearing shoes this time of year while sitting on her porch. Pretty cold out there!.
