Wayne D. Borden, Jr., 89, of Wellsboro, PA

Wayne D. Borden, Jr., 89, of Wellsboro, PA died on Thursday, January 22, 2015, at The Green Home. 

He was the husband of Beatrice (Simmons) Borden who survives. Wayne was born May 10, 1925 in Wellsboro, PA, the son of the late Wayne D. and Florence (Faulkner) Borden, Sr. 

WWII Veteran

He attended Draper Baptist Church. 

Wayne was an US Army Veteran, having served during World War II. 

During his lifetime he was a machinist at Dresser Mfg and a laborer for NY Central Railroad.

 Wayne was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. He enjoyed raising animals, especially his chickens. 

Surviving in addition to his wife, is his daughter, Dawn Fairchild (Steven), Watsontown, PA; two sons, Michael Borden and Mark Borden, both of Wellsboro, PA; two grandchildren, Jordane Fairchild (Fianc√©, Carlos Sandoval) Middletown, DE and Erin Keiser (Sam), Turbotville, PA; three brothers, George Borden (Rita) and Charles Borden, all of Wellsboro, PA; Robert Borden (Ernestine), Blossburg, PA. 

In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his sister, Thelma Losinger.

Friends and family are invited to Wayne’s Life Celebration on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 from 10-11AM, at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, “A Life Celebration Home”, 139 Main Street, Wellsboro, PA. Funeral to follow at 11:00 AM, with Pastor James Ritter officiating. Burial in Tioga County Memorial Gardens.

Memorials donations may be made in Wayne’s name to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 or Draper Baptist Church, 22 Draper Road, Wellsboro, PA 16901.
