WESTERN PA ARBORIST SHORT COURSE TO BE HELD IN ERIE BEGINNING THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 5

WESTERN PA ARBORIST SHORT COURSE TO BE HELD IN ERIE BEGINNING THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 5

Today homeowners and municipalities understand the best tree care comes from knowledgeable arborists. The green industry has responded to this demand for trained professionals by creating certification programs. The International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) certifies thousands of arborists, and these numbers grow yearly.

Penn State Extension hosts the Western PA Arborist Short Course beginning on Thursday, February 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and three more sessions at Erie Conservation District, 1927 Wager Rd, Erie, PA 16509. The Arborist Short Course has expert instructors presenting topics designed to increase your working tree knowledge, professional skills, and prepare you for the ISA Certified Arborist exam.

All are welcome to this four day-long regional training. Register online at http://agsci.psu.edu/arborist or call Penn State Cooperative Extension in Crawford County at 814-333-7460 by January 30. Registration Costs are $175 to cover costs of this offering. Sponsors of this event are USDA Forest Service, State and Private Forestry. Penn State encourages individuals with disabilities to participate in its programs and activities. If you need special accommodations or have questions about the physical access provided, please contact Scott Sjolander at 814-333-7460.
