 Leo G. Angevine, 74, of Looker Mountain Trail,Rixford, PA passed
away on Wednesday (Feb. 11, 2015) at his residence following a lengthy

Born March 3, 1940, in Buffalo, N.Y., he was a son of Wilbur and Iris
Brown Angevine. On March 3, 1962, in the Grace Baptist Church in
Tonawanda, N.Y., he married the former Adeline E. Jones, who survives.

He was a 1958 graduate of Otto High School in Duke Center and later
attended Houghton College and St. Bonaventure University.
Leo had resided on his farm in Prentisvale since 1975.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served with the U.S. Air
Force as an airman in Vietnam.

Leo had been employed by United Airlines as a pilot for 34 years,
retiring in 2000. He then attended the Diocesan School for Ministry and
was ordained as a priest in the Episcopal Church in 2005. He then served
as priest in several local congregations.

He was a member of the Church of the Ascension of Bradford, the Airline
Pilots Association, the Bradford Airport Authority, the Experimental
Aircraft Association, a past chairman of the Otto Township Supervisors,
a detective for the McKean County district attorney, a member of the
McKean County Drug Task Force. Leo was an avid private pilot and farmer.

As a youth, he was very involved in evangelical ministry, playing the
trumpet and singing in a gospel quartet at tent meetings, and as an
adult, he became an accomplished classical guitarist.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth
(Scott) Montgomery of Columbia, S.C., and their children, Benjamin,
Nathaniel, Rachel (Ben) Wise, Luke, Abigail, Lydia and Caleb Montgomery,
daughter Jeanette (Jerry) Anderson of Bradford and their children,
Catherine (Joshua) Vos and Carolyn (Ben) Fausey and Amelia (Joshua)
Isaman, and daughter Paula Angevine of Mebane, N.C., and her children
Nicholas and Gregory Jeffers; 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters,
Emily Wineriter of Greencastle, Danna Angevine of Boise, Idaho, and
Michele (Wes) Zapel of Rixford; and a sister-in-law, Margaret Angevine
of Warren.

Leo was preceded in death by two brothers, George Angevine and the Rev.
Jerry Angevine.

Friends may call today at the Church of the Ascension, 26 Chautauqua
Place, Bradford, from noon until 2 p.m., at which time the funeral
service will be held with the Right Rev. Sean Walter Rowe and the Rev.
Stacey Fussell as officiants. Burial will follow in the Rixford
