4-H Shooting Sport Results From Saturday Regional Competition In St. Marys

The annual North Central Regional 4-H Air Rifle Shooting Sports competition was held Saturday, March 21st at the Boys and Girls Club in St. Marys. Fifty-two shooters from 5 counties (Cameron, Clearfield, Elk, Jefferson, and Potter) participated. The participants shot in three relays, and shot in the prone, standing, and kneeling positions.




Potter County sent 12 shooters from the Bullseye Blasters 4-H Club lead by Buck Jackson, Pat Jackson and Roger Chapell. 4-Hers have been practicing every Sunday night since October for this competition. 

In the 8 to 10 year division Andy Anderson took first place honors with David Anderson placing third. The team of Andy, David and Catherine Anderson took first place team honors. In the 11-12 year old division Rose Anderson placed fifth and Logan Benninger placed 6th. In the 13-15 year old division Chelsea VanBergen took second place and Jacob VanBergen placed third. The team of Jacob VanBergen, Chelsea VanBergen, Blaise Chapell and Rose Anderson placed second and the team of Lakota Timothy, Gabe Wargo, Kit Lang and Josh Anderson placed third. Buck Jackson served as range officer for the competition.

Congratulations to all Potter County shooters and coaches! The Bullseye Blasters 4-H club is wrapping up it year at the end of March but will be back in action in the fall of 2015. If interested in participating call the Extension Office at 274-8540.
