Apply by April 1 to be H-G summer intern

WELLSBORO, PA—The deadline to apply for two summer internships with Hamilton-Gibson Productions, the Wellsboro-based community theatre arts group, is Wednesday, April 1. Each intern will receive a stipend.

The internships begin in mid-May and end in mid-August. This year’s sponsors are Eugene Seelye, and Deb and Jeff Sawyer.

Said Thomas Putnam, artistic director, “Interns must be at least 18 years old and preferably be studying some aspect of the performing arts or work with not-for-profit groups.

“The interns will be involved with all of the summer shows either performing, stage managing or house managing as well as set building and strike. In addition, they will work with our online databases, do Internet marketing and plan and staff our summer drama camps in Elkland, Blossburg, and Wellsboro.”

“This summer promises to be busy. The three summer drama camps in June, our major production in July, “The Addams Family’ and early preparations for our fall play, ‘Steel Magnolias’ will keep the interns hopping.”

To apply, write Hamilton-Gibson Productions, 29 Water Street, Wellsboro, PA 16901, call 570-724-2079 or email
