Golden Afternoons Trivia Party is April 21 Wellsboro

When he was 11, Elvis Presley received a guitar for his birthday but what did he say he really wanted?

Questions about the 1950s and 1960s will be asked and answered during a Golden Afternoons trivia party at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 21 at the Deane Center at 104 Main Street in Wellsboro.

The program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.

Mike Detweiler is hosting the event. He said, “The goal is to relax and have fun. There will be 20 questions about TV and music, sports and history.”

Detweiler is known as a trivia master. He has been leading trivia events at Yorkholo Brewing Company and Restaurant in Mansfield for the past four years. “People have a good time,” he said.

The Deane Center’s Golden Afternoons programs are at 1 p.m. on the third Tuesday of every month.

For more information about Golden Afternoons, call the Deane Center at 570-724-6220.
