INDIVIDUAL INJURED AT GAS RIG

INDIVIDUAL INJURED AT GAS RIG
Article by Lonny Frost (Independent Reporter) (c) 2015

It is believed but not confirmed at this time, that a gas worker was injured around 6:45PM in Cogan House Township on Saturday, April 11, 2015.

Although emergency crews from Cogan House Substation were dispatched at 6:46PM to respond to an individual injured at a drilling rig on the Steam Mill Road. They were recalled minutes later.

All FIRST News Now can confirm is an individual was struck with a pipe on the scene of a drilling rig. 911 was called by someone at the rig. For some unknown reason it was decided the injured person should be transported to a hospital by a private vehicle.

As with any injury on a job, FIRST News Now expects the drilling company to be looking into this accident. At this time it is unknown if OSHA was contacted about this incident.

Prayers to the individual for a full recovery. If any new information develops an update will be added.

I wonder if the worker is as injured as the hundreds or maybe thousands of surrounding residents whose homes have higher radon levels and increased risk of cancer...
