Karen F. Reynolds, age 62, of Corning, N.Y.

Karen F. Reynolds, age 62, of Corning, N.Y. died Wednesday, April 15, 2015 in the comfort of her home. 

Karen was born on July 5, 1952 in Pittsburgh, Pa. to the late Frederick and Kathryn (Rahuba) Schmitt. She married Thomas B. Reynolds on August 22, 1981 in Coudersport, Pa.

Karen was a graduate of Edinboro University and was a certified Reading Specialist. She retired from Coudersport Jr./Sr. High School as a Reading and Language Arts teacher in 2004, after teaching for twenty eight years.

Karen is survived by her husband, Thomas B. Reynolds; daughter, Rebecca Reynolds of Portsmouth, Va.; and son, Benjamin F. Reynolds of Erie, Pa.

She loved being with her family and enjoyed being in nature, bicycling, kayaking, traveling, and volunteer work.

A memorial service for family and close friends will be planned at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are being handled by Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 17 W. Pulteney Street, Corning, N.Y. 14830.

She was my teacher as well. My condolences to family and friends of this kind hearted woman. Teachers impact so many lives. She was fair and patient to her students & will be missed but also remembered by so many.
