McCLURE SEEKS REPUBLICAN NOMINATION FOR McKEAN COUNTY REGISTER OF WILLS AND CLERK OF THE ORPHANS’ COURT

Jeanmarie A. McClure of Bradford has announced that she will seek the Republican nomination for the McKean County Register of Wills and Clerk of the Orphan’s Court in the May 2015 primary election.

Jeanmarie, who is 48 years old, graduated from Alexander Hamilton High School in Elmsford, New York in 1984 and attended the Pre-Law Program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute concentrating in Management Information Systems. She obtained her Associates Degree in Court Reporting from Alfred State College in 1993.

She has been employed in Bradford for 18 years. For the past 16 years, she has been employed as a paralegal specializing in estate and trust administration at McDowell, Wick, Daly, Gallup and Hauser which has since become Gallup Law Offices. The office specializes in estate planning, estate and trust administration, elder law, guardianships, and real estate law. In her professional and volunteer activities, she has developed advanced computer skills and undertaken office management including bookkeeping responsibilities.

Jeanmarie currently serves as Secretary for the McKean County Republican Committee. She is a State Officer in the New York State Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and is the Secretary of the local Auxiliary in Olean. She also was a volunteer for this year’s Kiwanis Kapers.

Jeanmarie lives in Bradford with her husband Bob and they have eight children - Corey, Douglas, Jay, Fran, Brittany, Nicole, Justin and Ryan - and seven grandchildren. Bob is a Residential Manager for The Rehabilitation Center where he has been employed for over 16 years. Two of their sons are in law enforcement. Douglas is a border patrol agent in Arizona. Fran is a North Carolina State Trooper. Both served in the United States Army and saw active duty in Iraq.

“I have been handling estate and trust matters for the past 16+ years. This is what I know inside and out -- from the initial probate of a Will or funding of a Trust, to providing notice to the parties in interest, to preparing and filing the Inheritance Tax Return, the income tax returns, and the First and Final Account for the Estate or Trust, to filing the final Status Report closing the Estate or Trust. I have handled many guardianship proceedings as well, and I am intimately familiar with the process and paperwork required in this area.”

“My first-hand knowledge of the field, together with my diligent and steadfast work ethic, will serve the citizens of McKean County in an efficient and organized manner and will allow for a seamless transition in the Register of Wills Office.”

“If elected, I will strive to build upon the legacy of retiring Register of Wills Harrijane Hannon Moore. I will continue to provide caring, professional and knowledgeable assistance to all who need the Register’s services.”
