180 Volunteers Honored At The Four Senior Centers

Over 180 volunteers were honored at the four Senior Centers. Volunteers deliver meals to the homebound and help at the centers. AARP Tax Counselors assist senior citizens with their income tax and property tax/rent rebates. Aging Advisory Council members were honored at their May meeting. Students from the four high schools served the meals at the luncheons.

Coudersport Volunteers were entertained by the Coudersport High School Steel Drum Band. Ulysses Volunteers were entertained by George Schweigart and Ray London with singing and guitar music. Galeton Volunteers listened to special music by Harold Kiel and the OV Senior Center Volunteers listened to organ music by Phil Shrekengost. Also, Ginger James, town Historian, did a power point presentation on the history of Shinglehouse. This went along with their theme – “Back In The Day”.
