The William and L.R. Gale Community Foundation is pleased to announce the award of nine $5,000. scholarships to the following Galeton High School graduating seniors.
Kaitlyn Akers,Kassandra L. Brown, Karissa Burrous, Emilio Martinez, John Parsell,Morgan Jo Petrencsik,Mykayla L. Reiter, Latascia Breann Shadle and Gretchen Yonkin.

All of these graduates will go to colleges and schools of higher learning.

The Gale Community Foundation was established in 1988 through a gift from Lucille Gale Knapp, granddaughter of William McClure Gale. The Gale family built and owned a large sole leather tannery in Galeton in 1880. Galeton was named in honor of William Gale in 1897.
