SOME ONE DUG UP KING STREET IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER

SOME ONE DUG UP KING STREET IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER AND PUT A LARGE STEEL PLATE OVER THE HOLE. BEWARE AS I HAD REPLACED FOUR TIRES ON MY WIFE'S BUICK IN NOV, I THINK AND LOW AND BEHOLD SHE STRUCK THE CORNER OF THIS PLATE AND CUT A GASH IN THE SIDE OF A OVER $200.00 TIRE. ( TOTAL COST: 4 TIRES PLUS PARTS AND LABOR -$1170.00 )

I FINALLY REPORTED IT TO THE BORO OFFICE AT THE END OF MAY AS THE PLATE IS STILL THERE. YOU CAN'T GO AROUND THE PLATE BECAUSE AN AUTO AND AN OLD TRUCK WITH A SNOWPLOW IS PARKED ON THAT SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE PERSON I REPORTED IT TO TOOK MY NAME AND NUMBER AND STATED IT WAS THE WATER DEPARTMENTS PROBLEM AND SHE WOULD NOTIFY, JOE SOMEBODY ABOUT IT AND HAVE THEM CALL ME TO SEE WHO IS GOING TO PAY FOR MY TIRE.

SHE CALLED ME LATER AND SAID SHE HAD LEFT THEM A MESSAGE ON ANSWERING MACHINE BECAUSE NO ONE HARDLY IS EVER IN THE OFFICE. NOW IT HAS BEEN OVER 10 DAYS AND NO CALL BACK. DOES ANY ONE WORK THERE OR NOT?

JUST BEWARE WE PAY TAXES FOR OUR ROADS TO BE DRIVABLE NOT CUT UP YOUR TIRES SO BE CAREFUL IF YOU USE KING STREET TO TRAVEL HOME . IT MIGHT COST YOU ABOUT $200.00 FOR A NEW TIRE. MAYBE I SHOULD SUE FOR MY MONIES BUT I HATE TO HAVE THE TAXPAYERS PAY FOR A LAW SUIT. ANY ONE ELSE THAT THIS HAPPENED TO, CALL ME AT HOME.

Why would you charge them for 4 tires when she gashed one? Not real good in the math department are we?

Firstly dan causer this article is informative yes, but we could've done without the extra bs. You could simply go to the water dept and explain your situation. Secondly I'm highly doubting you paid 200 for a tire on a Buick. Thirdly that hole would probably do a lot worse then gash your tire it is there for a reason.

Dan, you're an idiot.

So it happened in November and you report it in May??

Dan`s pissed... Caps lock is on full throttle !

Regardless of whom it happened to and what damages occurred, WHY WAS THE HOLE DUG IN THE FIRST PLACE? If I, Joe Public, had done this I would be typing this post from a jail cell.

If you don't like what Dan says, keep the name calling out of it,
Are we adults here or not ?
I taught my children to never call anyone an idiot, dumb, or stupid !!!
Grow Up and act like adults,

11:37....Just because you don't have the caps lock on, does not mean we don't know it is you Dan. The punctuation says it all!

The funny part Joe didn't do it in the first place. He doesn't even deal with the water dept. Unless he needs too. That hole was dug for a water leak in town

welcome to eldred all the lights are on and no one is home butt yet were taxed to death ......

1:07 the taxes in Eldred have not gone up in years.

To Dan I'm sure a few hundred cars have gone over the price of steel including my self a few times a day. How is it that its only you're car that has had a problem? Sounds to me someone is trying to get something for nothing. I believe that the Borough employees and the few that do the water work( separately mind you )do a good job with the budget and man power that they have.

I think what this all boils down to is that everything is 100% Obama's fault. He dug the hole, he put the plate there, he didn't fix the hole, and he purposely did so to cut someone's tires, I SEENT IT! (Not really)...if not him, at the absolute least blame PennDOT because they probably had absolutely nothing to do with it either, yet they should always serve as a scapegoat for anything that makes anyone mad.

11:53 from 11:37 I'm not Dan,
Sorry to disappoint you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

^Hi Dan

regardless if his tire got blown out multiple times or not, they need to cover the hole instead of leaving the metal plate over it. it's a hazard clearly and it's annoying. if he wants to complain he's more than welcome too because it needs taken care of instead of an ignored unfinished job. it's been there for months. the weather has broke, it can be taken care of.

10:43 in order for it to be fixed they have to turn the water off to the entire street. it's a lot easier driving over a steel plate then having a hole in the road.it's not like they have a full time crew that just does the water it's only a few people. would you rather drive over a flat steel plate or a hole in the road? things take time he has his own business to run also
