I've never been so proud of a small town as I have of this one. Thursday we all waited in anticipation as cellphone messages went viral following our Boys Basketball Team playing Clarion in St. Mary's, Pa for the District 9 Baseball Title.

When they finished the game 10-0 in six-innings, messages moving faster than the speed of light spurred the Fire and Ambulance Departments into action and a town wide cheering section and parade met the kids as they passed Ram Forest Products in Ceres and made their way home. When they crossed the bridge into town and made the corner at ACORN our Fire Trucks blew their horns and 22 cars and our Ambulance escorted the team through the streets of cheering and poster waving crowds! We've never won the title and this team deserves accolades along with their coaches and parents for a season well done in small town America.
