State Police Announce Sergeant Promotions


Harrisburg – Sixteen members of the Pennsylvania State police have been promoted to the rank of sergeant, Acting Commissioner Marcus L. Brown announced. Among those promoted are

• Robert T. Finch, of Oil City, Venango County, was promoted to sergeant and assigned to Troop E, Warren. He was previously assigned to Troop E, Franklin. Sergeant Finch enlisted in the state police in 1993 and was promoted to corporal in 2010.

• Lucas R. Rankin, of Bellefonte, Centre County, was promoted to sergeant and assigned to Troop G, Rockview. He was previously assigned to Troop G, Holidaysburg. Sergeant Rankin enlisted in the state police in 2002 and was promoted to corporal in 2012.

• Gregory J. Raybuck, of Brockway, Jefferson County, was promoted to sergeant and assigned to Troop C, Punxsutawney. He was previously assigned to Troop C, Dubois. Sergeant Raybuck enlisted in the state police in 2001 and was promoted to corporal in 2011.

• Eric C. Simko, of Clarion, Clarion County, was promoted to sergeant and assigned to Troop C, Punxsutawney. He was previously assigned to the Bureau of Integrity and Professional Standards. Sergeant Simko enlisted in the state police in 1998 and was promoted to corporal in 2009.
