Let the record show that the daughter in law of two school board members, the sister of one school board member, and now the nephew of the high school principal have all been hired as teachers. Maybe that's all just one big coincidence after another. Maybe.

Wow, 9:12 - I guess then you could also let the record show whose best interests the School Board and Administration have in mind - and it seems like it's certainly not the students. Maybe the people of Coudersport should be asking - who were the other candidates? Were they more qualified? Does the School Board have a nepotism policy and if not, why not? In most, if not all, other work places that's not allowed. How can a principal and school board supervise family members in their jobs? So I guess Tenure review will be a mere formality then. Congratulations Coudersport. Just what our children need.

Both Jenna and Dan are very qualified and they have ties to the community which is a big plus. I think that they are an excellent choice. I do not know the other people and cannot comment. I am a local with no ties to either. If all things are the same I would choose a local to teach my kids.

Local people have a better understanding of the needs of a community when they live there. I have said this for years in Austin where the powers that be go out of their way to hire people that don't live in the town both in the school and the local borough. sad!

Dan Marzo has already been teaching in Coudersport high school and knows all of the kids. He also coaches the golf team. He is a very good teacher, the kids like an respect him and yes, he is qualified. Why not be thankful to have him? Why be so negative?
