Hotel Crittenden Hosts Dam Show Pre-Party August 14 with Special Guests, Mystery Fyre

Get a preview of what’s in store for this year’s Austin Dam Show on August 14 when long-time Dam Show favorites, Mystery Fyre, host the official Dam Show Pre-Party at the Hotel Crittenden starting at 9:30 PM. With nearly a decade of hard work and touring, the edgy vintage throwback rockers will be performing original material inspired by the 60s and 70s greats, as well as some original revamps of familiar classics from these eras.

“Mystery Fyre is always a huge hit at the Dam Show because their music spans the generations. Whether you’re a fan of classic rock, blues, funk or the British Invasion, you’re going to love this band,” said David Brooks, Executive Director of the Potter County Visitors Association.

Mystery Fyre's booming style has created a response from regional and national press, including a spot on Relix Magazine's Top of the World charts, ranking them alongside the likes of Joe Walsh and Keller Williams. The band of three brothers, Wes, Jake and Joey Knorr, is in the midst of its summer comeback tour after a brief hiatus from touring last year. They’ll be making 16 stops on the tour throughout Pennsylvania, as well as New York City, New Jersey and Delaware. But the band has a special place in their hearts for Potter County.

"We've been anticipating getting back out to this sweet little spot in western Pennsylvania,” said Wes Knorr of Mystery Fyre. “Our experiences there have been memorable to say the least, and we love the family vibe we get from the local folks. This tour has been a hot one and we look forward to bringing the heat to Coudersport."

There will be a $4 cover charge for the show. For more information, see the event page on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/events/876589569079834/.

The Austin Dam Show will be held on August 28 – 29 and is supported, in part, by a grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.
