Teaching Tolerance: A Faith-Based Seminar

First Presbyterian Church in Coudersport invites the public to attend a panel discussion focusing on tolerance and acceptance of every human being. The event will be held Sunday, September 27 beginning at 2:00 p.m. The church is located at the corner of Fourth and North Main Streets in Coudersport.

"Looking in the Mirror, What Do You See? Respectful Consideration of You and Me," will be moderated by the church’s pastor, the Rev. Evon Lloyd. "Our goal in offering this program is to provide an opportunity for participants to listen to stories from diverse perspectives and experiences with the hope that participants will come away with a renewed sense of what humans have in common, and realize how important it is that we act with kindness and acceptance toward one another," she says.

The panel presenters who will share their personal stories and then answer questions from the audience are: The Rev. Barbara Peronteau, an ordained minister of the United Church of Christ, Dr. Ronnie Schenkein, retired local veterinarian, and Carla Salsman, a professional educator and member of First Presbyterian Church.

All are welcome and refreshments will be served. There is no charge for the event.
