PHOTOGRAPHER CASEY LANE PHOTO DISPLAY TO OPEN AT DEANE CENTER NOV. 2

Casey Lane holds “Dewy Iris,” a photo she had taken after it rained on a summer afternoon. Her nature photographs, including Dewy Iris, will be on display in the Deane Center beginning Monday, Nov. 2.
WELLSBORO—Photographs of flowers, trees and reflections in puddles taken by Casey Lane of Galeton will be on display at the Deane Center at 104 Main Street in Wellsboro beginning Monday, Nov. 2. The display is free and open to the public.
The photos will range in size from 5 by 7 inches to 16 by 20 inches and be in color, sepia and black and white.

“I love all forms of art from drawing to painting, photography, jewelry and pottery. My exhibit at the Deane Center will focus on nature photography.” She uses a Canon Rebel camera. “I am not really into big, fancy lenses and photo equipment. I am more of a point-and-shoot kind of girl.

“I enjoy taking pictures of the normal, everyday things in nature and looking at them from a new, extraordinary perspective. I want people to see the beauty and find something that truly speaks to them.”

“My journey in art is only beginning; I hope to pursue a long career in it.”

A 2014 Galeton High School graduate, Lane has won awards for her photography at both the Potter and Tioga County fairs and is selling her art at craft shows and Hearts Desire in Galeton. She works at Citizens and Northern Bank in the client contact center in Wellsboro where she answers calls and helps customers.

Her photographs will remain on display at the Deane Center through November.

For more information about this exhibit, call the Deane Center at 570-724-6220.
