LITTLE GENESEE - Frederick W. Faulkner, 71, of 7493 Miller Hollow Road, passed away unexpectedly Thursday (Nov. 12, 2015) in the Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester.

The son of Percy and Katherine Senn Faulkner, Frederick was born on Feb. 3, 1944, in Olean. On June 11, 1964, he married the former Paula Miller in Little Genesee, Mrs. Faulkner survives. He was a 1962 graduate of Bolivar Central School.

Fred owned and operated Faulkner's Fruit Market in Ceres for over 33 years. Fred joined Portville Central School in 2000 as a bus driver, a position he held until his passing. He was also employed by the Park 'n' Shop in Portville.

He was a member of the Hinsdale Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Fred was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time with his daughters and grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters, Lynne (Scott) Fuller of Little Genesee, Marnie (John) Scutt of Shinglehouse, Pa., and Laura (David) Jandrew of Bolivar; and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers and three sisters, Allen (Norma) Faulkner of Sebastian, Fla., George (Marian) Faulkner of Snow Hill, N.C., John (Gloria) Faulkner of Portville, Margie (Winton) Pafford of Dawsonville, Ga., Jean Judd of Las Cruces, N.M., and Suzanne (John) Perez of Guyton, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc. on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held Saturday (Nov. 21, 2015) at 2 p.m. in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Route 16, Hinsdale. John Carron, minister of Jehovah's Witnesses, will officiate.
