Friends of Kettle Creek,

The Kettle Creek Watershed Association (KCWA) will sponsor a 3 day weekend Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing (PHWFF) outing in the Cross Fork at the handicapped/kids’ area on Friday, May 6 through Sunday, May 8, 2016. The participants will join us for our Saturday, May 7, 6:30 PM annual pot-luck/covered dish banquet which invites everyone, KCWA member or not, to the banquet. Attendance of veterans, both local and those at camps, will be especially appreciated at the banquet. Ham and beef roasts are furnished from your KCWA dues.

The PHWFF program is designed to assist military veterans deal with injuries and/or adjust to civilian life with the therapeutic activity of fishing. PHWFF is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly fishing. Please visit PHWFF at for general details. Local details will be posted at as they become available.

KCWA will be housing and feeding these military persons (and some family) selected by PHWFF from the Pennsylvania area for the weekend. We will be purchasing fish to stock the stream for a greater chance of a successful therapeutic fishing experience. All weekend housing, meals, snacks and necessary fishing supplies will be furnished at no cost to the participants.

Imagine how welcome they will feel if they are first-time visitors to the Kettle Creek Valley.
Please help KCWA with this weekend outing. We are looking for business sponsors as well as individual donors. Any donations will be appreciated to help with the expenses. Please make out checks to KCWA, mail to P. O. Box 317, Cross Fork, PA, 17729 with PHWFF in the lower left corner on the front of the envelope and the same in the memo line on your check.
