Holiday Happenings Along Route 6

The Holiday Season is a great time to visit the small town along US Route 6 in Pennsylvania with festivals, parades and tree lighting ceremonies. Around every bend of the highway, travelers will find postcard worthy pictures to lift their spirits throughout the year.
Some of our favorite light displays are the trees on Conneaut Lake. While beautiful from the shore, you can take a tour on the Barbara J cruise ship this year.

On the eastern side of Route 6, Nay Aug Park in Scranton hosts Holiday Lights from November 27 – January 2.

Some of the upcoming holiday events in the towns across Route 6 are:
Nov. 27 & 28 - Honesdale for the Holidays: star and tree lighting in Central Park.
Nov. 28 - Galeton Lights on the Water (GLOW) starting with a parade at 3pm, followed by the lighting of thee John J. Collins Park and fireworks over the lake.
Dec. 4 – A Very Merry Corry Christmas with a tree lighting at 5pm.
Dec. 4 & 5 – Tunkhannock’s Christmas in Our Hometown with ice carvings and music.
Dec. 5 - Santa Train from Steamtown National Park to Carbondale for the Christmas in a Small Town Celebration.
Dec. 5 – Linesville hosts the Christmas Lighted Tractor Parade and Candlelight Walk.
Dec. 5 – Dickens of A Christmas in Wellsboro with a Victorian Marketplace.
