New Accelerated Degree Program Offers Opportunity for Working Professionals and Adults

DuBOIS – A new accelerated and hybrid schedule option for business degrees offered at Penn State DuBois will provide more opportunity for busy adults and working professionals to further their education.

Beginning in the fall of 2016, the campus will offer courses that count toward earning an Associate of Business Administration or a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in flexible, seven week terms. Each semester will offer two accelerated terms, utilizing a hybrid class format. Hybrid classes will meet in the evenings, as well as require coursework to be completed online as it best fits the schedule of the individual student.

These delivery methods are tailored to students who have obtained previous college credits, but those with no prior coursework can still explore options for beginning their college career in this program. The accelerated terms, as well as evening and hybrid schedule, make this option ideal for working professionals who would like to start or finish a business degree while balancing career and family obligations.

Two information sessions for this program are planned for January 21, and February 18. Both sessions will begin at 5:00 p.m. in Room 209 of the DEF Building at Penn State DuBois. They will feature an overview of the program, an opportunity to meet faculty, and financial aid and admissions information. For more on the this program or details on the information sessions, visit
