Robert A. Hackett

BOLIVAR - Robert A. Hackett, 58 of 7396 Rt. 417 East, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, December 29, 2015 shortly after admission to Jones Memorial Hospital Wellsville. 

He was born on May 12, 1957 in Cuba, NY. Bob was the son of Kenneth and Carolyn Childs Hackett.
US Army Veteran

He was a graduate of the Bolivar Central School class of 1975 and was a graduate of Bryant & Stratton College Buffalo. 

Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1975-1981. 

Following his discharge from military service, Bob moved to Buffalo and established his business R.A. Hackett Painting Inc., which he operated until 2008. In 2008 Bob relocated back to Bolivar where he continued operating his painting company until the time of his death. 

Bob was a member of the Kenyon Andrus Post 772 American Legion Bolivar and was a volunteer at the Hart Comfort House Wellsville.

He is survived by two children: Nicole (Bob) Casell of Tonawanda NY, Christopher Hackett of Buffalo and his mother Carolyn Hackett Bolivar. Also surviving are three brothers: James Murray from Georgia, Carl (Alice) Hackett of Bolivar, Kenny (Sue) Hackett of Stannards, NY; four sisters: Vickie Simard Bolivar, Jody (John) McLaughlin Bolivar, Judy (Reggie) Faulkner Scio, Karen Jordan Florida. 

He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Hackett in 2010.

Friends may call at the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc. Bolivar on Monday January 4, 2016 4-7 PM. Funeral and committal services will be held from the funeral home on Tuesday January 5, 2016 at 11 AM. Rev David Herne of the Heritage AFlame Ministries, Bolivar will officiate. Burial will be in Bowler Memorial Cemetery, Little Genesee, NY.
