JKLM Energy Statement on December 18 Natural Gas Resource Center Meeting

JKLM Energy Statement on December 18 Natural Gas Resource Center Meeting

WEXFORD, Pa (Dec. 18) – JKLM Energy today released the following statement regarding a meeting hosted by the Potter County Natural Gas Resource Center in Coudersport on December 17:
“JKLM Energy would like to thank the Natural Gas Resource Center for giving us the opportunity to engage with the local community alongside the Department of Environmental Protection at the Gunzburger Building yesterday (Dec. 17). We are deeply disappointed that the opportunity for additional meaningful dialogue with interested residents of Potter County about the company’s response to its September release was lost when two individuals chose to repeatedly derail the discussion during the question-and-answer period. Our personnel and technical consultants were prepared to stay and answer questions for as long as people wished, provided the interaction was productive and respectful, but it was clear these two individuals, in order to further their own agenda, were not going to allow that to happen. We regret that we did not have the opportunity to participate in further discussion.

“The individuals intent on disrupting the meeting raised the issue of Pennsylvania’s Sunshine Act. Pennsylvania’s Sunshine Act did not apply to this meeting. 65 Pa. C.S. Sec. 702 states that the Sunshine Act applies only when a governmental body holds a meeting in which ‘deliberation’ or ‘official action’ by a quorum of members will take place.

“JKLM intends to continue to strengthen its relationship and cooperation with local residents and Potter County’s government officials. We are committed to responsible development of natural gas in Potter County, even in these difficult economic times. JKLM has invested in excess of $100 million dollars in Potter County over the last few years, much of it paid directly to landowners who, in turn, disperse that investment throughout the community. We ask the residents of Potter County to question the motives of those few whose agenda is to stifle development of any kind, and whose actions render constructive dialogue impossible.”

There is an old saying, "if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen." Seems to me that when the questions get difficult, or you don't care to answer them, then you automatically deemed them as disruptive. Even the newspaper girl who attended rolled her eyes so many times I thought she would pass out! Keep paying off people in town and you certainly will get what you want. Money talks!!!!!

Commissioner Morley and jklm wanted out and used Melissa and Josh asking jklm to provide the full list of ingredients as an excuse to end the meeting and deny other citizens the opportunity to comment. It was advertised as a public meeting had a quorum of county commissioners and they discussed the public's business, they refused to allow citizens to offer public comments because they do not care what the citizens had to say. They believe they are above the law and no longer accountable to the public.. and that is partly due to that 100 million dollars jklm invested...I guess you got your money's worth. Thanks a lot jklm.

Jklm lawyers and personnel didn't leave because the discussion was derailed. They left because they didn't want to answer any questions.

I guess a few of you attended a different meeting than I did. There was a chance to ask questions but things got out of order. Morley did not end the meeting, in fact he said "you all are free to stay here and endure this as long as you would like."
If you are anti-drilling that's your free choice to make but don't let it blind you to what goes in meetings like this.

He did offer to allow folks to stay but all the folks with the answers left. Two individuals who had affected private wells one from Sweden twp and the other from coudersport borough stayed for a while but nobody was left to answer their questions.

Pick your poison, die at the hands of ISIS or big corporate greed.

... landowners who, in turn, disperse that investment throughout the community.

-----------

I doubt that. They send the money out of the area to paid their credit card bills and astronomical insurance and utility bills.

jklm says they are committed to "responsible devopment of natural gas". really? where does criminally dumping chemicals down an uncased well constitute responsible devolopment of natural gas?

and your $100 million paid to landowners is supposed to help potter county because they spend the money locally? maybe they will spend that money locally paying hospital bills in the future...

I never got any part of that $100 million paid to landowners but now that I am ill, you refuse to deliver water to my home any longer? that hardly "strengthens any cooperation and relationship with this landowner.

the only motives needing to be questioned is not the motives of the public herald, it is the motives of JKLM covering up this catastrophe.

Public Herald seems to be the only avenue for the homeowners as they seem to be the only ones giving a voice to the people harmed.

JKLM says they want to strenghten relationships and cooperation with the local residents? how come you stopped delivering water to my home when you know you contaminated my water?

This ridiculous spin on blaming public herald for standing up for our hopes to speak at that meeting leaves me fuming. we didn't spend 2 hours there to listen to your coverup campaign. we wanted answers and received none.

The "unknown" is an enzyme called Alpha-Galactosidase. (Look it up). Gas companies are using this to reduce pressure on wells so they can take preventative OR corrective action. Its temporary for a quick fix. Not completely harmless but not deadly either. Nuff Sed

5:31 - jklm admits to using 98 gallons of F485 and 35 gallons of rock oil. isopropropanol and propriatary undisclosed ingredients.
rock oil is listed as SYNTHETIC CHEMICALS AND OILS-HARDLY CLASSIFIES AS A HARMLESS ENZYME, LOOK IT UP!!

NUFF SAID!

Morley seems to speak worthless comments. He knew damned well he had no clue, so what not say stay - after the so-called professionals had left. Morley speaks with a forked tongue. From the appearance of the photos that were posted, Heimel took notes and the other Morley was there, for what? How in the world can people of Potter County be so empty minded to let Morley run this county? He loves photo ops and will stop one from talking by raising his hand in ones face. As for the other two officials - they do as they are told!

According to the MDAS (material safety data sheet) F-485 is a foaming agent listed as a combustable liquid. not a harmless enzyme

936, did you even graduate from highschool? Alpha-Galactosiidase is the main ingredient in "BEAN-O",, the stuff people take to get rid of gas.. Ha Ha.. obviously you never did your homework.
