Coudersport Rotary Greets Sporty Entrepreneur

Jillian Baker and Walter Baker
Jillian Baker of Tornado Sports, a new athletic sporting goods store located on Main Street, Coudersport, presented her community-focused approach to retail, aimed at supporting the area's youth athletes and sporting organizations, according Walter Baker, President of the Coudersport Rotary Club.

Tornado Sports provides team uniforms, seasonal athletic supplies and sportswear at its newly opened Main Street store front, while also supplying larger equipment, such as portable bleachers, batting cages and ball machines, upon special order.

Jillian is a graduate of Northern Potter High School, with a long family history of athletics and a Bachelors degree in Communication from Canisius College, who aspires to expand her sales so that she is able to dedicate a portion of the retail profits raised by Tornado Sports to an annual scholarship program aimed at children who could not otherwise participate in the area's various athletic programs.

"The Coudersport Rotary Club is pleased to welcome young entrepreneurs such as Jillian Baker who return to Potter County to raise their young families and to contribute back to the communities that raised them," added Baker.

Again? How many times is this meeting going to be reported on here? That's only two so far. Is it really that big of a news story?

yes, it's a big many new businesses have we hade lately. It's nice to see 1 less empty building in Coudersport. And it will be nice to not have to travel out of town or out of state to get sporting supplies. Good luck with your business and may GOD bless you

I am with 6:56. I want to see this exact same story on here every day and not every other day like we've seen it so far. Within a couple of weeks, we may know that Tornado Sports has opened a new business. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.
