AUSTIN, PA---Cynthia G. “Cindy” Crumrine, 64, a lifelong resident of Austin, PA, passed away with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, after a short illness.

Born on February 9, 1952 in Port Allegany, she was a daughter of Robert C. and Avis A. Williams Keck. On February 14, 1970 in the Austin United Methodist Church, she married David D. Crumrine, who survives.

Cindy attended Austin High School. 

 For many years, she was employed as a cook in Austin at various restaurants. 

In November of 1987, Cindy and her husband purchased the Cock-Eyed Cricket, operating the business together. She enjoyed running her business and visiting with her family and friends. 

She enjoyed camping and fishing. She loved the holidays and insisted on “doing all the cooking”. 

Her greatest love was her family and her dogs.

Surviving besides her husband and her parents of Austin, are a son, Timithy R. (Peggy) Crumrine of Smethport; a daughter, Brooke R. (Blair) Shupe of Austin; four grandchildren, Kyle R. Crumrine, Ashley J. Crumrine, Payton D. Shupe, and Keaton D. Shupe; a sister, Lisa A. (John) Rotello of Austin; and a niece, Alyson I. Rotello.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the Austin United Methodist Church, Turner Street, Austin, where funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Steven D. Small, pastor of the Southern Potter United Methodist Charge, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Austin, at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Cindy’s name may be made to Teacher’s Pet Rescue, 19 Blackberry Lane, Coudersport, PA 16915 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Cynthia’s family has entrusted her care to the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, PA.
