Heroin Seller Is Jailed After Near Fatal Overdose

By Anne Holliday on March 24, 2016 WESB Local News

As for Wednesday overdose, 29-year-old Christine Cutlip of Bradford is in McKean County Jail for selling the heroin to the man.

Court papers say John Morrison and his girlfriend Crystal Fowler had just bought heroin from Cutlip. Fowler told police Morrison fell over backwards almost immediately after injecting the drug.

When police got to the Florence Street home, Morrison was purple and blue and not breathing, and Fowler was doing CPR on him. They say there was a faint pulse but he was in need of immediate medical attention. When paramedics got there, they administered Narcan to revive him.

Fowler told police she had been texting with Cutlip asking for prescription drugs, and Cutlip asked if she wanted “H,” which is slang for heroin.

Assistant Police Chief Mike Ward said he found two syringes – one empty, one full of suspected heroin; a spoon with residue in it; and a stamp bag that had contained the heroin, which they believe also had Fentanyl in it.

The court papers say the heroin in other recent cases in the area has also been mixed with Fentanyl.

Cutlip’s bail is $75,000 and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for next Thursday.

sad thing is when are these people gonna learn? people keep dying /coming so close to death they need narcam... wth is this "girl" Crystal thinking? she's been through rehab several times, shes knows what these drugs can do. thank god she didnt do hers and was able to keep him alive long enough for the ambulance to arrive, but is this going to teach her anything this time?

Right, so the girlfriend who watched and the man who stuck the needle in his own arm aren't culpable here at all?

Yea, sue Smith & Wesson next time someone puts a gun to their head.

9:06 can't be a murder charge w/out someone dying

Someone did die

Anonymous said...

No they didn't die. Narcan revived him so no death = no murder charges for anyone

YES THEY DID DIE READ THE WHOLE ARTICLE.

Yes 1:16, read the whole article. The person received an injection of Narcan and was revived. It says nothing about anyone dying. He was blue and purple and needed medical attention which was administered and he came back around

I don't know about you but for me my concern is the children in these homes that noone is helping. How many times does a child have to go to someone of authority that is required to child-line before something is done to help that child? Instead what happens is the situation is child-lined, CYS makes a scheduled visit and the child is left in that environment.

Thanks to the fast acting, 1st responders, a life was saved. The people who keep questioning, "why" don't understand the strong grip of prescription pain killers. When the doctor stops writing prescriptions, people go to the streets. When their are no pills available, they go to heroin. The doctors start the addiction. In 2014, drs wrote enough prescriptions for opiate drugs that every man, woman & child in the USA could hold at least, one bottle in their hands. The USA uses 90% of the world's Hydrocodone and 95% of the world's Oxycodone supplies. Doctors are also over prescribing, mind bending (and addictive)drugs to children. Foster children who receive medicaid are among the most highly drugged children. Then we wonder why, the USA has such horrific drug problems? These doctors who over prescribe need to be treated like the drug dealer on the corner. They certainly cause more damage.
