Well Known Tri-State Race Driver Brian S. Fardink, 36, of 156 Kipp St., Sherman, NY, Has Passed Away

SHERMAN - Brian S. Fardink, 36, of 156 Kipp St. Sherman, NY, passed away due to complications from pneumonia, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa. on Wednesday, March 16, 2016.

He was born Feb. 29, 1980 in Jamestown, the son of Larry G. Fardink, and the late Betty Lou Beckwith Fardink.

Brian was a graduate of Sherman Central School Class of 1999, and was also a graduate of the Boces Auto Mechanics program. He was most recently employed by Mid-Town motors.

He loved auto racing. Brian was well known in the tri state racing community, participating at Eriez Speedway, in Erie, Pa., Little Valley Speedway, in Little Valley, also Stateline Speedway, Busti, and Raceway 7 in Conneaut, Ohio.

He is survived by his father Larry Fardink of Sherman and close friends Missy and Neal Wojnarowski, of Ripley. He will be sadly missed by family, other lifelong and close friends.

A time of visitation and remembrance will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2016, at the Stanley Hose Fire Co., 122 Park St. Sherman.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Rd. Jamestown, NY 14701.

Arrangements are being handled by the Spitzer Funeral Home, Sherman.
