Annual covered dish/pot luck dinner on Saturday, May 7 at 6:30 PM at the Kettle Creek Hose Company # 1 fire hall in Cross Fork

Friends of Kettle Creek and friends of military veterans,

The KCWA hopes you can attend our annual covered dish/pot luck dinner on Saturday, May 7 at 6:30 PM at the Kettle Creek Hose Company # 1 fire hall in Cross Fork.  Ham and beef roasts will be furnished.  Please bring a covered dish to pass or deli items, bread/rolls, sodas, desserts, etc., for those of you who do not cook.  We will have outlets for your crock pots containing meatballs, goulash, vegetables, potatoes, etc.  You can bring your own dinner plates, metal utensils, etc., if you do not like Styrofoam and plastic.

This year's dinner is very special because it will held in conjunction with our first 3 day Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing weekend event for disabled/recovering military veterans.  Go to our website  www.KettleCreek.org  where there is more information about this PHWFF event with links to websites.  We welcome all veterans & supporters of veterans, local and at camps, to this dinner, especially KCWA members.  Memberships and KCWA t-shirts will be available at the dinner.

We always have a silent auction at the annual dinner with many useful and interesting/unique items.  Please come early around 6 PM to choose the auction items you want to win.  Please email Ralonda Austin at  raustin@kcsd.us if anyone would like to donate an auction item, indicate your item and your name so she can put those on the auction ticket containers well before the dinner.  Put KCWA in the 'subject' line of your email to her.  Come early with your item around 5:30 PM so the auction items can be arranged.  Try not to spend over $25.00 on an auction item. Thanks in advance for your generosity.

Certainly anything red, white and blue will be popular for the auction such as a USA-made flag kit or red, white and blue umbrella.  Items involved with outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, hunting, geocaching & bird watching are good.  Postage stamps, first aid kits or gift cards to Sheetz, Walmart or a grocery store are always very popular.  If you have a business, anything related to your business would be good advertising.  Bring business cards to put with your donated item.

We hope to see you at the banquet.
