Betty A. Walters

Betty A. Walters, 86, of Oregon Hill, Morris, PA, joined her husband, Ben in heaven on Wednesday, March 30, 2016. 

She was born March 10, 1930 in Potts Grove, PA the daughter of the late Walter Hammond and Wilmina (Sheetz) Reichard.

Ben and Betty were married September 7, 1974 and were together as husband and wife here on earth for over 40+ years. They are now together forever with their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Betty served for many years as County Director for Child Evangelism Fellowship, Eastern Region, PA. She was a part-time worker for Tioga County CEF, helping to organize and run CEF Day Camp in Nauvoo, with her husband Ben. In addition, she served as a committee member for the teacher training class for Tioga County CEF. Betty enjoyed the children and was loved by all. She will be greatly missed.

Betty attended Oregon Hill Grace Chapel, where she was involved in ministry. For many years, Betty and Ben opened their home on Wednesday morning for prayer breakfast. Betty was involved in the work of missions, having served on the missions committee, opening her home for the missionaries to stay when they were in the area. She also was past vice president of the Morris area 55+ Club.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband Ben, she was preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers, Clifford, Irvin, Raymond, Maurice, Walter, Jr., Kenneth and Nelson Reichard; four sisters, Dorothy, Florence, Margaret and Bernice.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
