GALETON, PA - Donors of all blood types are urged to give the gift of life and donate blood at the Community Blood Bank’s April blood drive for Galeton Community.

On Tuesday, April 26 the Community Blood Bank will be at Galeton High School from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. This blood drive is a community service project of the Galeton High School National Honor Society and is open to the community.

No appointment is needed to save a life, however those interested are welcome to schedule an appointment online by visiting Walk-ins are always welcome.

Individuals are eligible to give blood if it has been 56 days since their last donation; are at least 17 years of age (or 16 with parental consent); weigh at least 110 pounds; have not received a tattoo or body piercing in the past 12 months; are in good general health and do not have a cold or the flu. You must have a valid photo ID in order to register. Prior to donating, those giving blood should eat a good, solid meal and drink at least 18 oz. of water.

Community Blood Bank partners with hospitals in Northwest Pennsylvania and Western New York to provide blood for patients in need.
