Coudersport Fire Seminar Cancelled After 2 Firefighters Shot

NOTICE:
The seminar for tomorrow in Coudersport featuring Chief Marc Bashoor of the Prince George County Fire Department has been cancelled due to an emergency in his county...

He is returning home tonight to be with his firefighters and the families... If you could keep them all in your prayers...

Please share this and spread the word...

Chief Bashoor is returning to Prince George County tonight after receiving word of the incident as described in Stater 911:

At 7:30 p.m. a PGFD fire engine and ambulance, along with PGPD responded to the home at 5007 Sharon Road in Temple Hills.

They were called by a citizen concerned about a man who lived at that address. When there was no answer, entry was forced.

The person inside the home fired shots that struck a firefighter from the ambulance, a firefighter from the engine company and the civilian who originally who called for help.

The two firefighters are reported to be in critical condition and the civilian has lesser injuries. The man who fired the shots is now in police custody. A link to the latest information is below:

Very sad.. But in PA the shooter is not at fault. If the house isn't burning a fireman has no right forcefully entering someone's home. That's a big reason one would own a gun. Another wannabe fireman overstepping his duties when in reality it should have been the police.
