Childs To Discuss Watershed Restoration In Potter County At Alfred University Sept. 23rd

Jason Childs, District Manager
Alfred University Alumnus to discuss watershed restoration at Environmental Speakers Series

Jason Childs, a 2010 graduate of Alfred University with a degree in Environmental Studies, will discuss “Grassroots Watershed Restoration in Potter County, PA” at 12:20 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, in Room 247 of the Alfred University Science Center as part of the Environmental Studies Speakers Series. The talk is open to the public, free of charge.

Childs has been working for the Potter County Conservation District for the past five years, primarily as a watershed specialist, but most recently as the district manager. He had previously worked for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation conducting invasive species control.

Prior to earning his degree from AU, Childs has earned an associate’s degree in outdoor recreation from Paul Smith’s College in the Adirondacks.

Here is an example of another worthless government job that taxpayers are funding for no reason. When will we realize that the most invasive species is man itself and quit trying to control nature.

8:01 Your comment suggests "man" cannot mitigate damage we cause as an invasive specie, not that we're invasive to begin with. Thankfully, many people know otherwise and work to improve our lot. Our supply of fresh water and good soil are diminishing daily. It's important stuff.

Another thing; all this article was trying to do was advertise a free meeting open to the public. Comments like yours calling someone worthless, and the blog moderator's tolerance to ignore his own guidelines for posting, make me wonder why anyone would use this forum to open themselves to such nastiness.
Why not grow a pair, attend the meeting, and call the man worthless to his face.
