I would like to help , but my watch doesn't have a 14 on it or a 21. However, as soon as I get home I will look at my grandfather clock and then maybe I can help.
Guess I'm just not 'up with the times' , sorry.
This is a dumb comment. It's called military or 24 hour time. When you get to 12:00, instead of going to 1:00, you go to 1300. It's simple counting! So 1421 would be 2:21!! And in fact your watch does have a 21 in it! It's called the minute hand. Goes all the way up to 59.
You probably have Roman numerals on your grandfather clock so don't bother looking there for answers either.. Just let it go..
Your grandfather clock is probably in Roman numeral, so don't waste your time there either.. Just think of hours in a day...! It'll come to you!
