Little Valley man charged in child assault case

LITTLE VALLEY — A Little Valley man has been jailed for allegedly assaulting a child younger than 2 years old.

Members of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office charged Darrin M. Doner, 18, of Fair Oak Street, with second-degree assault, a class D felony, at 4:20 p.m. Monday. Authorities announced the arrest Friday morning.

The charge stems from an investigation into an alleged incident involving a young child Sunday at his residence, said Sheriff Tim Whitcomb.

“We need to be careful talking specifics,” Whitcomb said.

Doner is the boyfriend of the child’s mother, the sheriff said.

While unable to specify the exact nature of the child’s injuries, Whitcomb assured they, along with the child’s age, merited a felony charge. Read more...

This is just digusting, he needs to be put away & assaulted himself !!!
How can a anyone assault an innocent & helpless child that doesn't stand a chance against his/her abuser, I'm so glad the little one is going to be ok

Did I read this correctly?? 15 thousand bail? Drug dealers get higher bail!! God bless this young child and shame on her mother
