PennDOT announced today it will begin work to replace the Route 6 bridge over Ostrander Hollow Creek just west of Port Allegany on Tuesday, June 21.
The bridge will be closed for approximately two months, and the official detour will include Routes 155, 446 and 46. HOWEVER, LOCAL TRAFFIC WILL BE ABLE TO USE UPPER GRIMES ROAD to get around the work area.
Overall work includes replacing the existing, single-span bridge with a pre-cast, concrete box culvert, drainage, approach work, guide rail updates, paving, and miscellaneous items.
