Carol L. Shepard, 72, Wellsboro, PA, Formerly Doylestown

Carol L. Shepard, a resident of Wellsboro, PA since 2001, formerly a longtime resident of Doylestown, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at her home. She was 72.

Carol was the loving wife of James D. Shepard for 53 years.
Born in Buffalo, NY, Carol was the daughter of the late Norman and Angelica Phelps.

Carol’s life centered on her family. She enjoyed cooking, canning and baking, NASCAR and shopping, especially garage sales and thrift stores, gardening, fishing and her beloved dog Tiny. 

Carol had previously been employed with Acme Markets in Doylestown.

In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by 2 sons, Robert T. (Kathy) Shepard and James F. (Shannon) Shepard and a daughter Ann M. (Albert) Rivera. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a brother, Edward L. (Wendy) Phelps and a large extended family and a circle of special friends.

Carol’s family will receive friends 9-11:00 am Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at the Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Road, Warrington followed by a service celebrating her life at11:00 am. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the donor’s local fire co., ambulance assn. or animal shelter.
