The latest news from the State Capitol
Standing Up – On Wednesday, I joined the majority of my House colleagues in voting to support legislation that stands up for the rights of gun owners. Click here to read my reasons for supporting House Bill 671.
On the Road Again - PennDOT will be performing roadway repairs Monday through Friday of next week in DuBois on Route 255 from Liberty Boulevard to the Penn State DuBois campus.

Two lanes of traffic (one lane each direction) will be maintained from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. Some work may require roadway flagging and drivers should remain alert for crew members in and near the roadway. Expect lengthy travel delays, especially during arrival to school and dismissal.
….and again - PennDOT this week announced plans to complete a number of key statewide road improvement projects later this year. The list includes the following:
  • The Route 322 intersection safety improvement project in Bradford Township, Clearfield County.
  • The Route 255 highway restoration project from Sabula to Penfield in Clearfield County.
  • Safety improvements at the intersection of Routes 66 and 948 in Elk County.

Honoring Those Who Serve Our Country – On Wednesday, the House unanimously passed my legislation designating April 26, 2017, as "National Guard Day in Pennsylvania." Pictured with me in the photograph are Pennsylvania’s Adjutant General Brigadier General Anthony Carrelli and state Rep. Nick Miccarelli (R-Delaware), who serves with me in the Army National Guard.

Please click on the link below to view a recording of my floor remarks thanking all the men and women who serve our country in that capacity.

Attention Veterans - A representative from the Pennsylvania American Legion will visit my DuBois district office this Tuesday, May 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is a great opportunity for the men and women who serve or have served our country to check out programs and benefits that may be available to them.

You do not need to be an American Legion member to take advantage of this service.

Discussing the Issues on PCN – Wednesday evening, I was a guest on the Pennsylvania Cable Network’s (PCN’s) call-in program. Host Larry Kaspar interviewed me and fellow state Rep. Matt Bradford (D-Montgomery) on a number of issues.
