Bonnie Jean Pagano, 78, of 248 Constitution Ave., Bradford, PA, passed away Friday, June 2, 2017 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Born July 19, 1938 in Oil City, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Mary (Middleton) Sims.

On July 27, 1963 in St. Elizabeth Church in Smethport, she married Charles L. Pagano, who survives.

A 1956 graduate of Cranberry High School, she attended Mansfield University and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, specializing in Home Economics in 1960.

Bonnie taught home economics for all of her teaching career, beginning in Smethport in 1960 until 1963. After raising her family, she began working for The Bradford Area School District at Futures Rehabilitation Center, in their food service training program until 1990. In 1990, she began teaching at Bradford Area High School until her retirement in 1998.

She was a member of St. Francis Church and a Eucharistic Minister, a member of Pennsylvainia Association of School Retirees, The Women's Literary Club, volunteered at Crook Farm and was head of the Crafty Ladies, volunteered for the Bradford Regional Medical Center Auxiliary and was a member of the Italian Club.

She enjoyed painting, ceramics, crafting, cross stitching and gardening.

In addition to her husband Charlie of 53 years, she is survived by a daughter, Melissa (Randall) Sipko, of Salamanca, NY; two sons, Marcus (Vera) Pagano, of Cranberry Twp and Miechelo Pagano of Bradford; four grandchildren, Miranda Sipko, Zefferino Pagano, Sophia Pagano and Sebastian Pagano; a sister Barbara (Wayne) Crissman of West Monroe, NY; four nieces and one nephew.

Friends are invited to call on Friday June 9, 2017, from 10:00am to 11:00am in St. Francis Church at 11:00am a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Rev. Raymond Gramata. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery in Galeton on Saturday at 11:00am.

Memorial contributions, if desired, can be made to Futures Rehabilitation Center or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc.
