HIGHLAND CHOCOLATES/TONY'S TROLLEY TOURS

WELLSBORO—Highland Chocolates and Tony’s Tioga Trolley Tours have joined forces to offer a Laurel Festival sweet treat — a chocolate factory tour.

On Friday, June 16, Tony Yeager will have his trolley parked in front of the Arcadia Theatre at 50 Main Street in Wellsboro. From the Arcadia, the trolley will take passengers for a ride along East Avenue to Highland Chocolates. Yeager will run consecutive trips at 45-minute intervals between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on a first come, first served basis.

At Highland, passengers will tour the chocolate factory to see how the chocolates are made. Everyone on the tour will be able to stop at the free sampling station to taste test the chocolate products.

Those who are interested will be able to shop before boarding the trolley for the trip back to downtown Wellsboro. There will be lots to choose from. Highland offers a wide variety of figurines in chocolate as well as chocolate lollipops, pretzel bark, and baskets and boxes of candy of all descriptions plus trail mix and nuts.

The cost is $5 per person, which includes the trolley ride to and from Highland Chocolates, a tour of the chocolate factory and the free sampling station. Advance tickets are not necessary.

Highland Chocolates is a nonprofit organization that employs local people with disabilities who manufacture a fine line of sweet snacks and gourmet chocolate gifts for all occasions. For more information about Highland Chocolates, call toll-free at 1-800-371-1082 or visit www.highlandchocolates.org.
