Burdette "Bud" F. Gray, 101, a resident of Kinzua Health Care & Rehabilitation Center, and formerly of 310 Water St., Warren, PA.

Burdette "Bud" F. Gray, 101, a resident of Kinzua Health Care & Rehabilitation Center, and formerly of 310 Water St., Warren, PA. died Sunday, July 16, 2017. 

He was born May 24, 1916 in Warren, PA., on Yankee Bush Road to the late Frank W. and Helga Jensine Gray. He was a lifelong resident of Warren and served with the U.S. Army Engineers during World War II.

He was employed for 25 years with the Pennsylvania Railroad and retired from Warren General Hospital Maintenance Dept. after 18 years employment. He attended the Warren Wesleyan Church and was a member of the Warren Senior Center. He enjoyed making yarn placemats. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is remembered for always having a great sense of humor and incredible father who always put his family first in his life.

He is survived by 2 Children - James C. Gray and his wife, Karen of Russell, PA., Nancy K. Dengel of Oil City, PA., 12 Grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth B. Kifer Gray who died August 11, 1997, 1 Son – Burdette D. Gray, 3 Brothers- Weston (Jim) Gray, Wesley F. Gray, Vernon Gray, 2 Sisters - Corinne Nobles and June Irvine. 

Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA., on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 6 to 8 P.M., and on Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. when a funeral and committal service will be conducted with Rev. Marcus Briggs, Chaplain of the Rouse Warren County Home, officiating, and Deacon Joseph Lucia co-officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by the Clarendon/Sheffield V.F.W. honor guard and the U.S. Army personnel following the funeral service.

Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery. Those wishing to place memorials may do so through the Warren Unit of the American Cancer Society, 2 W Crescent Park, Warren, PA., 16365 or a charity of one’s choice.
