EARLE, Glenn J. Jr.

Glenn J. Earle, Jr., age 90 of Knoxville, PA, passed away with family by his side on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Broad Acres Nursing Home in Wellsboro. 
WWII Veteran

Born June 19, 1927 in Austin, Pa, he was the son of the late Glenn J. and Clara (Coy) Earle, Sr. Glenn served in the U.S. Army during WWII and retired from the International Union of the Operating Engineers. 

He married Katherine C. Crosby on October 11, 1947; they shared 65 years together until her passing on June 2, 2013. 

He was a life member of the VFW and the American Legion. Glenn was an avid baseball player, in his younger days and an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and was always active. 

Glenn is survived by his children, Ernest Earle of Knoxville, PA, Sharon (Otto) Deutschlander of Coudersport, PA and David (Mary) Earle of Westfield, PA; his extended family members, Dora Howard, Dawn Bacon of Austin, PA and Debbie Shepard of Port Allegheny, PA; five grandchildren, Glenn and Brad Earle, Harry (Stephanie) Deutschlander, Heidi (Victor) Jackson and David Earle; eight great grandchildren, Sierra, Felisha and Katie Earle, Sierra Nichols, Otto and Owen Deutschlander and Logan and Christine Jackson; his sister, Shirley Garzel of Austin, PA and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by a daughter in law, Francine Earle; brothers, Leroy, Eugene and Richard Earle and his sisters, Grace Stuart and Marjorie Reese. 

Private family services will be held at their convenience. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Knoxville Deerfield Volunteer Fire Company or to the Valley Community Ambulance.
