Sweden Township Police Department Receives PCAAP Grant For New K-9

It is with GREAT PLEASURE, that we announce that our Dept has received a $5,000.00 grant from Potter County Animal Assistance Project (PCAP) towards the purchase of a new K9 for our Dept.

The K9 will be fully certified in Meth, Heroin, Marijuana, and Cocaine detection as well as Tracking and article searches. The K9 will be Nationally Certified and the cost range is between $6-10,000.

This Grant is huge considering the local and national drug epidemic and this kind of support is Greatly Appreciated, additional grants and fund raising will continue.

I am going this weekend to look at a K9 that is already Certified and our trainer Rich Yonlisky of Bullocks K9 feels it would fit our Dept and the needs of our communitees. Once a K9 has been selected, pictures and more information will surely follow.

If any Business, group or person would also like to help out, you can send donations c/o:

Sweden Township Police K9 Fund
129 Cherry Springs Rd
Coudersport Pa 16915.
Any and All donations are Greatly Appreciated, Thank you in advance for your support.
