Liberty Veterinarian Charged With Supplying Drugs To A Friend

Sun Gazette

Leonard D. Kreger, 64, 332 Brion Hill Road, Liberty, PA, faces charges of three counts of possession with intent to deliver controlled substances and three counts of not being registered or licensed by appropriate state board while delivering controlled substances, according to court documents.

Through work of being a veterinarian, Kreger allegedly provided Ketmaine, Diazepam and Buprenorphine to a family friend.

State police said that in an interview Kreger told police he was aware the family friend’s drug use progressed from veterinary grade narcotics to illicit drugs obtained on the street, but Kreger allegedly believed he was helping the friend cope with drug addiction, according to court documents.

Kreger waived his preliminary hearing and is scheduled to be formally arraigned on Oct. 2 before District Judge Robert L. Repard.

Dr Kreger is one of if not the best vet I've ever been to always willing to go the extra mile selfless and valiant. Im sure his heart was in the right place. We all make mistakes and hopefully the justice system will take his 30 plus years serving the member of his community into account

Agree @10:51 I'm sorry to read this. He was nothing but kind to us when we were dealing with sickness & the death of our dog, unlike another vet in the Coudy area.
