A Fezziwig Christmas is Friday, Dec. 8 and Saturday, Dec. 9

Dancing right out of a scene from the Ghost of Christmas Past in "A Christmas Carol," written by Charles Dickens are the delightful jolly couple who host an annual Christmas Eve party in the warehouse in which Ebenezer Scrooge served as an apprentice.

Join Mr. and Mrs. Fezziwig and their relatives and neighbors in celebrating the holidays Victorian-style at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 8 or Saturday, Dec. 9 in the Gallery at the Warehouse Theatre at 3 Central Avenue.

Thomas Putnam, Hamilton-Gibson artistic director, is the creator of this family friendly show. "This year's 'A Fezziwig Christmas' is even closer to the Fezziwigs' party described by Dickens than previous shows held several years ago," he said. "This one offers short skits and vignettes, comedy sequences, songs and dances, including the highlight of the evening, the Sir Roger de Coverley contra dance as well as delicious food and beverage and lots of good humor," Putnam noted.

"The audience will become participants in the festivities," said Putnam. "They will be invited to enjoy mulled cider and English foods, including trifle, bread pudding and soup. If they wish, audience members can also take part in a rousing game of forfeits and in the dances."

Reservations are required. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students of any age. Contact Hamilton-Gibson for reservations by calling 570-724-2079 or emailing
