It's not for everyone, but there is a huge need for foster families in our area! And there is a chance for adoption with some of these kids. And if you adopt through foster care, it's pretty much free. So many at risk children in our own home towns and counties that need loving and safe homes/families.

This is a great family. So keep your negative comments to yourself. How do you know they haven't done fostering before... your just assuming. Which is what is wrong with the world. What they are doing is great!! We should have more people likke them and less like you

Loving children and taking them into your home and family is not an either/or proposal. It's not like it matters which child, or where, it only matters that a child who needs a family is being given an opportunity to live in a loving home. Many adoptive families have also been involved with foster care or are advocates for foster care, but everyone's family situation is unique and each should do what works best for them. I know the Jones family advocates for foster care. The idea that anyone could second-guess their adoption choice is shameful. Their story is about two children who have been adopted from orphanages into a loving family. What kind of person finds anything in that to criticize!?!

We are big fans of foster care. In fact, we looked into foster before both of our adoptions. Ultimately, we felt that the time was not right and that God was calling us to international adoption. These decisions involve a tremendous number of variables. There is no one clear path for any family. It takes thoughtful consideration, wisdom, and prayer before jumping into any type of orphan care. We hope that we can someday participate in the foster system as well. Our goal is to raise awareness for orphans, no matter what system they are caught in.
We want to encourage anyone who has a heart for adoption; please don't allow the high cost to scare you off. If God calls you to something, He will provide. It may mean sacrifice, but His heart is for the orphan.
We would equally encourage anyone who has a heart for foster care to find out more. If you can do it for the right reasons, don't hesitate!
An orphan's life is a precious thing. It can be changed forever by the love of a family. We have witnessed it first hand. Once you see it happen it will change you too!
Thank you to Solomon's Words for running this story. God bless!
